Rascal

Rascal is the inspiration for starting Happy Place Vending. The photo that we used for the logo was taken from the first day, at 4 months old, that we had him. We had lost our Australian Shepherd, Jesse at almost 14, to cancer a few months earlier and wanted to find a friend for Zack, our remaining Aussie. We tried a couple of rescues, but none were a fit for Zack, although he tried. Then we heard about Rascal needing a home from a friend of ours who had the Aussie puppy. Needless to say, he has brought joy back into our family, and has given Zack a new lease on life, as his new buddy. Rascal's main goal in life is to make us happy. He's very good at bringing a smile to us every day. It's better to be happy than sad. Life can be hard at times, but something that makes you happy can erase that away in an instant. Enter the gumball machine. Something about chewing a gumball, young or old, that seems to give you a happy feeling inside. When life gets complicated, grab a gumball, and get lost in the joy it brings.
